I build the AI-native teams most organisations are still dreaming of. In three years I've taken a 20+ person team from AI-cautious to AI-native: working with AI on every project, shipping AI products. I've designed with AI as a material since it meant computer vision, machine learning and NLP. I've found success comes not from technology alone, but from solving human problems a view tested in-house and across 3 consultancies. That's why I blend art, psychology and technology to make more moments matter.
Experience
Head of Product Experience
- Leading a 20+ person practice across strategy, design, and research; co-leading the innovation proposition
- Helped make CreateFuture one of Europe's first Preferred Services Providers for Anthropic, and an OpenAI Select Partner
- Built an AI-native practice: starting with a three-horizon AI impact roadmap, three development pathways (Making, Framing, and Orchestrating), hands-on, guided training sessions and a safe playground to explore and inspire; all practitioners work AI-natively, some even ship live features
- Reset delivery economics: 2–4× faster on routine design tasks, with time saved reinvested in deeper research, broader experimentation, and more iteration to polish signature moments
- Developing ongoing client partnerships as the key contact from scoping and proposal to delivery, generating revenue in excess of £4M per year
- Designed and shipped AI products in legal and financial services: retrieval built to a zero-hallucination bar for a global law firm, and a model-performance platform giving a Big Four bank the evidence its regulators ask for — regulation as a creative brief, not a constraint
- Steered an AI healthcare project: a touchless neonatal monitor for a global medical device manufacturer, from algorithm-first to prototype-first through clinical discovery in an NHS NICU
- Defined an ethical human-AI research approach; creating clear boundaries for AI trustworthy and responsible AI use, and where in the loop humans and AI belong
Product Capability Lead
- Started Valtech's UK product practice: established a community of practice, leading the sale of their first product management roles
- Owned client relationships on strategic accounts (Taylor Wimpey, Schroeders, Shawbrook Bank) from brief to launch: scoping and framing new work, writing proposals, and aligning complex stakeholders
- Guided digital transformation programmes for 8 blue-chip clients across Government, consumer technology and financial services; embedding user-centred design as culture above process
- Led a programme defining sections of the Public Charge Point Regulations 2023: regulation as a design brief, translating policy into user-centred requirements for EV charging infrastructure
Senior CX Designer
- Pioneered AI-powered retail in intu's innovation lab, bringing one of the first visual search experiences to a 4M-product catalogue; 2× conversions, 12% larger baskets, 135% more page views
- Designed an ML product-categorisation system that unified inconsistent retailer feeds into one taxonomy, freeing 2 FTEs through a human-in-the-loop review workflow
- Prototyped and tested an NLP support chatbot, validated through Wizard of Oz testing with real users before any build
Earlier Roles
- First UX specialist at the MTM Agency; established user-centred practices at a scale-up
- Supported nonprofits such as The Brunswick Centre and The Oswin Project with design services, including design for Northumria University's 'OxChain' research project
